Fantasy4Charity.com (F4C) is the first of its kind fantasy football site, providing sports enthusiasts the chance to support military families while having fun by raising funds to support military families facing injury and loss. F4C allows consumers to draft an online fantasy football team against a group of Fantasy Pros in a 3D sports bar environment and then compete during an 11-week regular season and five-week post season to win a guaranteed Grand Prize of $250,000 – all for less than $10 a draft, with no hidden fees.
F4C has partnered with 17-year industry veteran, World Fantasy Games, a premier provider of fantasy games to hundreds of brands, corporations and websites worldwide. World Fantasy Games designed RapidDraft, a single-user fantasy football game with fun, flexibility and low cost in mind, that offers consumers the opportunity to draft and play against 11 real-life fantasy football experts represented online by life-like “avatars.” The game allows consumers to easily draft a team and then create “friend groups” so they can have fun and interact with friends and family the entire season.
Proceeds from F4C support Helping Hands for Freedom (HHFF), a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization dedicated to supporting military families facing injury and loss, and improving children’s lives through mentorship and leadership programs. Devoted to serving the men, women and children who are most in need, HHFF works to address the gaps in the military and government’s support for the immediate needs facing our wounded service members, their families, and the families of the fatally wounded. In assisting military children, HHFF focuses on the needs facing the families dealing with multiple deployments, injury, and loss.
F4C founder, Rodney Smith, brings over 18 years of non-profit experience to HHFF. As an active member of the non-profit community, Smith has dedicated his time and efforts to the advancement of children, as well as military service members and their families. Smith has founded and worked with other non-profit organizations like Future for KIDS and Freedom Is Not Free. He has created, managed and operated 98 youth camps and reached out to over 129,000 children and parents, while raising and distributing over $580,000 USD since 2006 in grants and relief funds to wounded service members, their families and the families of the fatally wounded through Freedom Is Not Free.
Executive Director of Helping Hands For Freedom, SSG Patrick Shannon brings years of military service that is priceless to the development and success of HHFF. SSG Shannon spent eight years in the US Marine Corps and recently retired after serving five year’s as a reservist with the US Army, having received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart from the United States. As the Executive Director, SSG Shannon is expanding his mission from a strictly military focus, working with organizations like the Wounded Warriors Project, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion in the past to now include military children. He looks forward to translating his passion and dedication within the military service into becoming a positive role model and leader for children across the country.
NFL veteran Ricky Williams is now in partnership with Fantasy4Charity.com. One of the most interesting, compassionate and articulate personalities in the NFL, Williams quickly agreed to incorporate his name into the F4C team. Raised in San Diego, CA, home to thousands of military personnel and families, Williams understands the needs of the military families facing injury and loss and will promote the game and the need to support military families with personal appearances, an online blog and twitter conversation
